ARISTA is a European manufacturer of UV inks for industrial digital printing. Our single-pass UV inks are engineered for high-speed production lines in packaging, label, and decorative printing. Optimised viscosity, wide colour gamut, and reliable adhesion — built for 24/7 production environments.
What Is Single-Pass UV Ink and How Does It Differ from Standard UV Inks?
Single-Pass Printing Technology
Unlike multi-pass systems, single-pass UV printing means the substrate passes beneath the printheads only once — enabling print speeds of 50–200 m/min. This demands inks with precise rheological properties: low viscosity, high jetting stability, and exact cure timing under UV or LED lamps. Standard UV inks are not formulated to meet these requirements.
Compatible Industrial Printheads and Printers
ARISTA SP and SP+ inks are tested and optimised for Kyocera KJ4, Ricoh Gen5 / Gen6, Xaar 1201, Seiko, and Toshiba CE4 printheads. Validated for use in Barberan, Durst, EFI Cretaprint, and Xeikon single-pass printing systems.
ARISTA SP and SP+ Series: Specifications and Applications
ARISTA UV SP — Standard Production Series
Available in 5,000 ml CMYK sets, the SP series is designed for high-volume print operations. Ideal for corrugated board, rigid substrates, and decorative panels. Delivers consistent colour reproduction, excellent lightfastness, and stable dot gain across long production runs.
ARISTA UV SP+ — Enhanced Performance Series
The SP+ series in 1,000 ml format is formulated for demanding applications: self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging, and low-absorption materials. Features improved adhesion, extended colour gamut, and full compatibility with LED UV curing systems — reducing energy consumption without compromising cure speed.

Frequently Asked Questions — Single-Pass UV Inks
What is single-pass UV printing and how is it different from multi-pass?
In single-pass printing, the printhead covers the substrate only once at high speed — the ink must cure instantly and jet with extreme precision. Multi-pass (scanning) printers make multiple passes over the same area. Single-pass systems run at much higher production speeds, which is why the ink formulation is fundamentally different and not interchangeable with standard UV inks.
Which printer brands are compatible with ARISTA single-pass UV inks?
ARISTA single-pass UV inks are compatible with Barberan, Durst, EFI, and Xeikon single-pass production printers. Each series is validated for the specific jetting and curing requirements of these platforms.
What is the difference between ARISTA UV SP and UV SP+ series?
ARISTA UV SP is available in 5000ml format — designed for high-volume continuous production runs where bulk supply reduces downtime and cost per litre. ARISTA UV SP+ is available in 1000ml format, suited for facilities with lower monthly ink consumption or those evaluating the ink before committing to bulk volumes. Both series cover the full CMYK channel set.
What volume formats are available for single-pass UV inks?
ARISTA single-pass UV inks are available in two formats: 5000ml (SP series) for high-throughput production environments, and 1000ml (SP+ series) for mid-volume operations. Both formats are available in Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.
Is White ink available in the single-pass UV range?
Currently the ARISTA single-pass UV range covers CMYK channels (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow). For White ink requirements in single-pass applications, please contact our technical team — custom channel configurations are available on request.
Can I use standard UV ink in a single-pass printer?
No. Single-pass printers operate at significantly higher speeds and require inks with specific viscosity, surface tension, and curing response. Using standard UV ink in a single-pass system will cause jetting failures and may damage the printhead. ARISTA SP and SP+ series are formulated exclusively for single-pass technology.
How do I get pricing and place an order?
All single-pass UV ink prices are available on request. Select your printer brand from the filter, choose your series (SP or SP+) and colour channel, and send a request. The ARISTA team responds within one business day with pricing, stock availability, and delivery options. Framework agreements for scheduled deliveries are available for high-volume customers.
